Capital RT by Motopark won the 15th Gulf 12 Hours for Mercedes-AMG after a thrilling spectacle at the iconic Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi.

An exciting contest at the front featured lead changes and drama as the momentum

swung between several GT3 cars.

Denis Remenyako, Michail Aleshin and Adam Christodoulou safely navigated a challenging race in their #13 Mercedes-AMG GT3. After 346 laps and 12 hard-fought hours, they secured Mercedes-AMG’s third Gulf 12 Hours victory.

Al Manar by Dragon led the race into the ninth hour and looked set for a first Gulf 12 Hours win for an Omani team until an unplanned pit stop to refill brake fluid. However, Al Faisal Al Zubair, Ben Tuck and Christopher Froggatt fought back and finished second in their #77 Ferrari 296 GT3.

Grove Racing by GetSpeed made it two Mercedes-AMG GT3s on the podium. Father and son duo Stephen and Brenton Grove, alongside Jules Gounon, finished third in their #4 car.

The pole-sitting #70 of Ferrari 296 GT3 of Inception Racing, driven by Brendan Iribe, Frederik Schandorff and Ollie Milroy, had been a victory contender until it was forced to retire after to contact with an Am car in the sixth hour.

Australian newcomers Geyer Valmont Racing marked their first international race with a Pro-Am class win in their #44 Mercedes-AMG GT3, with Jayden Ojeda, Brendon Leitch, Sergio Pires and Marcel Zalloua at the wheel. They finished sixth overall.

Local team Enrico Fulganzi Racing finished second thanks to a strong drive from Enrico Fulganzi, Alessandro Giannone and Andrea Girondi in the #17 Porsche 992 GT3 R. Third place went to the Audi R8 GT3 LMS of Simon Balcaen, Peter Guelinckx and Steven Palette of Haas RT.

James Vowles, team principal of the Altassian Williams Racing team in Formula 1, stood on the top of the podium alongside Anthony West, Marco Pulcini and Mark Sansom after winning the Am class. The Garage 59-entered McLaren 720S GT3 finished a strong 10th overall.

The next edition of the Gulf 12 Hours will take place on 10 January 2027. The change to a January date restores the event’s traditional four-day structure and allows teams to benefit from an expanded preparation programme.

However, the traditional December slot will be filled by a new short-format GT race event scheduled for 13 December 2026.

All results are provisional and correct at the time of publication.
