Dragon Racing Reveals Two-Car Line-Up




Dragon Racing have announced a multi-national line-up of drivers for its two-car challenge in the 2024 Lenovo Gulf 12 Hours on 15 December.


Carrying the Dragon colours at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi will be two Ferrari 296 GT3 race cars, wearing numbers 77 and 88.


The #77 Ferrari will be driven by four drivers from three different continents. Reigning European Le Mans Series LMGT3 champion Axcil Jefferies, from Zimbabwe, is joined by South Africa’s Xollie Letlaka. Canadian Ramez Azzam and Kuwaiti racer Khaled Al Marzouq, a race winner in Ferrari Club Challenge and Ferrari Challenge Winter Series.


The #88 car will be driven by three GT3 rookies, Matt Bell and Wayne Boyd both boast extensive prototype experience, including at Yas Marina Circuit, while John Shauerman has won alongside Boyd in the Michelin Le Mans Cup.


The 2024 Gulf 12 Hours will again be available free to watch for fans around the world via the event’s YouTube and Facebook pages.


Qualifying and the full race will be streamed live from Yas Marina Circuit, with commentary from renowned endurance experts, when a stellar grid, including spectacular GT3 cars from Audi, Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Mercedes-AMG and Porsche, do battle for victory.


The 2024 edition sees a return to the unique two-part race format, with an opening eight-hour endurance section followed, after a two-hour break, by a four-hour sprint to the chequered flag, creating a second starting ceremony in the magical night atmosphere of Yas Marina Circuit. 


Qualifying begins at 7pm local time (4pm CET) on Saturday 14 December while the first, eight-hour, part of the race starts at 9am local (6am CET) on on Sunday 15 December. The final four-hour race to the chequered flag starts at 7pm local (4pm CET) and concludes four hours later.
