Gulf 12 Hours regulars Centri Porsche Ticino will step up to the GT3 Pro-Am category for the 2023 edition of the Middle East’s premier GT endurance race on 10 December.
The Swiss team, which competed in the Porsche 992 class at recent Gulf 12 Hours, will be led by Alex Fontana, who recently won the Pro-Am title in the GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS.
Sharing the Porsche 911 GT3 R with Fontana will be “Hash”, Yannick Mettler and Stefano Costantini, while the car itself features a notable presence on its eye-catching livery. The logo of Arch Motorcycles, the marque owned by Hollywood star Keanu Reeves and Gard Hollinger, will be prominently displayed on the car, which runs with technical support from Car Collection.
Fontana said: “I’m truly delighted to once again be representing Centri Porsche Ticino in the Gulf 12 Hours and I would like to thank the team for having given me the opportunity to participate in an even of this importance, one in which last season we won the 992 class. Competing with the Porsche 911 GT3 R will be very special and we’ll be doing all we can to take full advantage and bring home a positive result.”
The best ever field for the Gulf 12 Hours sees GT3 cars from Audi, BMW, Ferrari, McLaren, Mercedes AMG and Porsche line up and competition will be intense throughout the field, which features all-professional, GT3 ProAm and GT3 Am driver crews fighting for overall and class honours.
Four qualifying sessions on Saturday 9 December will kick off the live coverage via the official Gulf 12 Hours YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/@gulfmotorsport.
